I'll overwhelm 'legitimate boxer' Jake Paul - Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

The British boxer prepares to battle Jake Paul in an eight-bout match which will be streamed live on Netflix.

Briton Anthony Joshua said he will "overwhelm entirely" the American and "defeat" his opponent as the pair met personally to build hype for the upcoming boxing match.

Former two time unified heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua faces social media star turned fighter Jake Paul - in what is, theoretically, a massive mismatch - at Miami's Kaseya Center on December 19th.

Fighter's Mindset

"I will break his face and break his body up. My goal is to show my superiority," the British boxer, 35 years old, said.

"I plan to overwhelm him. That's how fighters think.

"I intend to really want to cause him pain. That's my goal."

Civil Exchange

In spite of those words, a relaxed Anthony Joshua and social media star Jake Paul - usually famous for his theatrics - were respectful and kept it respectful with each other.

Jake Paul instead targeted former Joshua's opponent Francis Ngannou and described him as "ridiculous" after Ngannou declined a match opportunity.

Taking Aim at Fury

Joshua, meanwhile, took aim at British opponent Tyson Fury - and declined a large bet 'Tyson Fury' states he will put on a Paul win.

"[Paul] outshines Tyson Fury - he showed up," Joshua stated.

"I acknowledge that."

Legitimate Opponent

In spite of saying he intends to hurt Jake Paul, Anthony Joshua refused to talk badly about his rival's pugilistic talent.

"Jake is a credible opponent," he remarked.

Paul's History

Jake Paul - who originally gained popularity on the Disney Channel - has primarily fought mixed martial artists or faded names since entering professional boxing.

He lost to British fighter Fury in last year.

Commercial Success

Nevertheless, the relative newcomer continues to be one of the sport's biggest money-making draws, frequently receiving huge earnings.

Forecast and Confidence

The 28-year-old predicted a knockout win in rounds four or five and asserted he would stop the highly-expected match between Joshua and Fury, which is allegedly in the works for two years from now.

"The next fight will be myself against Tyson Fury in the coming year," Paul declared.

Size Difference

As the two fighters participated in the traditional face-off, with their height and weight contrast evident, it highlighted just how surprising this whole event is - and how amazing it is that the bout is really going ahead.
